Embracing sustainability: Introducing recycled paint containers

We are proud to present our latest initiative towards sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of our products and our activities. While we have long focused on perfecting the paint within our buckets, we have now extended our efforts to include the buckets themselves. In March 2023, we unveiled our first line of products packaged in recycled containers, marked by their distinguishable grey hue and a distinctive label. It is important to note that the paint within these grey buckets remains unchanged, maintaining the same high-quality paint found in our conventional white containers. We are committed to transitioning our entire product range to recycled containers in the near future.

The significance of recycled plastic containers

Packaging stands as one of the primary contributors to plastic waste, which poses a severe threat to our environment. Yet, plastic remains an incredibly versatile material that isn't easily replaceable, especially in the context of paint packaging. The solution lies in plastic recycling and the progression towards a circular economy. By recycling plastic, we not only prevent its accumulation in the environment but also conserve natural resources, reduce the carbon footprint, energy consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions.

Quality standards

In our company we believe that plastic waste holds untapped potential. That is why we have decided to embrace recycled materials by collaborating with our partners to produce plastic containers from these valuable resources. Through this collaboration, we have integrated these containers into our product line and are actively supporting the ongoing development of paint containers made from recycled materials. To ensure the containers meet our quality standards, we subjected them to extensive testing in our laboratory. We assessed factors such as handle stability, coloration, compression pressure, and impermeability. Additionally, our packaging lines and mixing systems underwent thorough testing to ensure the compatibility with the containers. Presently, the lids and handles of the containers are manufactured using virgin plastic to guarantee optimal quality and stability. Additionally, the recycled plastic containers are composed of a single material, making them 100% recyclable themselves.

Grey means green

Our containers are manufactured using post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR) obtained from household and commercial waste collections. As the plastic waste is not sorted by colour, the combination of various hues results in a grey appearance. In essence, the grey colour of our containers serves as a clear indication of their eco-friendly nature, highlighting our commitment to environmental sustainability. In other words: grey means green.
