The colors that surround us often affect our well-being, which is why they have to be especially carefully chosen in the rooms where we spend most of our time. Although wall paints today are of high quality, we all know that much can happen on walls, especially when children are at work. This time too, a friend asked me for help, whose purple wall in the living room combined with washed out yellow was  begging for renovation. Plus, the children had also left their mark on it. 

The wish of the young family living in this apartment was to let it breathe in a bright shade. At first, they wanted to paint it all white, but I convinced them that the apartment was bright enough to handle a drop of brown in the sea of white. And I succeeded! Anything is possible with the help of Helios SPEKTRA Classic Plus!

The biggest challenge was covering the heavy, dark purple. When we managed this, the space immediately became ‘lighter’ and more pleasant. This time, there were quite a lot of surfaces involved, so I entrusted the roller to male hands. When the masters finished the last details and the color had dried, I stepped onto the scene myself. My friend and I devoted ourselves primarily to the dining corner, which represents the heart of the home for their family. We decided to give it a special stamp with photos of family members and friends.

My props were frames of different sizes in white, black and green. The latter also matched the kitchen tiles. For mounting on the wall, I needed a hammer, nails and a camera. 

TIP: Mounting frames on the wall can pose a big challenge. I first imagined the shape I wanted to create on the wall. Then I put frames on the floor, where I adjusted their size and color. When the frame layout was done on the floor, I photographed it and adapted it to the wall.

As my friend adores greenery in her apartment, we later added a hanging basket in the dining room corner.

The family was very happy with the new dining corner and glad to have entrusted me with the choice of color. The magical shade I chose according to the Helios Spektra Terra color card was T 132 H.
